EV Charging Infrastructure Expansion Accelerates Across KSA

Over 5,000 new charging stations planned across the Kingdom as part of the national electrification strategy.

Saudi Arabia is rapidly expanding its EV charging infrastructure, with plans to install over 5,000 public charging stations by 2027. The initiative is a joint effort between the Ministry of Energy, local utilities, and private sector partners. Fast-charging corridors are being established along major highways connecting Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. Urban charging hubs are planned for shopping centers, parking facilities, and residential compounds. The expansion supports the government's target of having 30% of vehicles in Riyadh be electric by 2030.
